Meet the Founders
James Brantley: His journey with the camera began at the age of 13, delving into the intricacies of film photography, a self-taught skill that evolved into a career in television and film. As a visionary co-founder of Vagabond Productions, James brings a profound passion for wildlife and conservation to the world of cinematography. Armed with a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Johns Hopkins, James merges his academic knowledge with his innate love for the natural world. James's lens is drawn to the skies and the depths, as his affection for birds and sharks shines through in his work. Currently based in St. Petersburg, Florida, James continues to weave his commitment to environmental advocacy into the captivating visual narratives crafted by Vagabond Productions.
Mitchell Long: the co-founder of Vagabond Productions, is a luminary in the realm of cinematography, having honed his craft at Full Sail University, where he immersed himself in the TV and movie industry. Specializing in adventure and travel TV shows, Mitchell captures the essence of exploration with a unique blend of skill and storytelling. His notable presence is felt in the acclaimed series "Extinct or Alive," hosted by Forrest Galante, where his expertise in cinematography elevates the show to new heights. Residing in the vibrant locale of St. Petersburg, Mitchell continues to push boundaries, bringing the thrill of adventure to screens around the world through his exceptional work at Vagabond Productions.
